A quick little story and then I will get to the point. As usual, I ask you to stick with me as I am going somewhere.
Last year I had clients from out west that were renting a home in River Heights. They had decided it was time to buy a home and put down roots in Winnipeg. Through the process of finding them a home they talked about the horror stories of the home they were renting. It was structurally a mess. I even went into their home on a few occasions to look at the place they were renting. Wow was it ever a mess! In my humble opinion, a home that I would say should be fixed with a bulldozer. Commissions and the Hypocrisy of Realtors
With there being such demand for homes and such a short supply of properties for sale, the rise of private sellers is much greater than when I was last in Real Estate. This only makes sense as it is human nature to want to save the commission charges if a seller can. The argument that […]

Winnipeg’s Real Estate Market is Slowly Changing (my opinion)
Before I start I want to preface this by saying this is strictly an opinion piece. I have no crystal ball and cannot see into the future 100%. With that said I have seen what I consider very strong evidence that the economy is changing. Specifically in the residential real estate market. I think it is important that this change in the market, albeit very slow, needs to be disclosed and discussed.
